Mes bichons,
Juste un rapide petit mot pour vous dire que tout va bien. Nous ne sommes pas allées au Cap de Bonne Espérance le week-end dernier parce-que la pluie n’a pas cessé de tomber. Je suis sortie en boîte avec les français et je suis allée dans un centre commercial énorme, très style américain.
Le travail se passe bien… Cependant, l’incroyable quantité de temps libre que j’ai au bureau me donne l’occasion de réfléchir à de nouvelles opportunités pour mon avenir. En d’autres mots, je réfléchis à de nouveaux moyens de faire plein de tuuuunes. Peut-être que vous en lirez plus à ce propos dans quelques semaines ou quelques mois.
Ce week-end, on part à 10 dans une réserve privée à 2h de route de Cape Town. Au programme : nuit à l’hôtel, deux balades safari en 4×4, piscine et spa. L’appareil photo est déjà en train de charger. J’écrivais la semaine dernière que j’attendais avec impatience le moment d’aller en safari. En fait, les réserves aux abords de Cape Town ne ressemblent en rien à celles que l’on peut trouver au Parc National Kruger, ou encore Botswana. Mais il paraît que pour commencer et à moindre coût, c’est pas mal.
Je me dirige doucement vers mes 23 ans, et j’en profite pour réfléchir à la question qu’on me pose à maintes reprises « Voyager comme ça c’est bien mais… ta famille ne te manque pas ? ». Un mois tout pile que je suis là, et le duo Facetime/Whatsapps fait que j’ai l’impression d’être avec eux tout le temps. Je dis ça mais eux-mêmes ne sont pas tous réunis en ce moment. Je ferai sûrement moins la maligne quand viendra l’heure des vacances d’été à la maison familiale.

My fellas,
Just a quick hello to let you know everything is going well. We ended up not going to Cape of Good Hope because it heavily rained the whole weekend. I went out with the frenchies and also to one of those giant mall, very American-styled.
Work is going well… Nonetheless, the free time I have brings me to think of new opportunities for my future. In other words, new ways to make tons of money, ya know. Maybe you’ll get to read more about it in the upcoming weeks or months.
Tomorrow, we’re going to a private game reserve, 2 hours away from Cape Town. It consists of a night in their hotel, two safari game drives, a pool and a spa. My camera is already ready. I was writing last week I was looking forward to the moment I would have the chance to go on a safari. Actually, game reserves near Cape Town are nothing compared to the one you can find in the Kruger National Park or even in Botswana but, I heard it’s a good way to start without spending crazy amounts of money.
I’m slowly heading to my 23th birthday, and it makes me think of the question I’m often asked: ”Travelling and all is nice but…don’t you miss your family?”. Exactly a month I’m here and the combo Whatsapps/FaceTime makes me feel like I’m always with them. Even them are not all together at the moment. I might not be as confident in writing this now as I’ll be when the time of summer family vacay will come.
